A.RANT.

I keep telling myself I’ve sworn off politics and then…and then another horrifying thing happens and I can’t keep quiet. These are the things that keep me up at night:

1. Why isn’t the justice department doing something about MTG and the many others who took part in the insurrection? We actually have laws on the books about treason, and yet…not only are they still in congress but they are also spewing despicable hate and lies.
2. Why are the democrats allowing the states to put the screws to women? This vigilantism is worse than what was happening before Roe! But maybe I’ve forgotten the horror of life before Roe. We are seeing it re-lived in technicolor, all ads gone as states put in more and more stringent laws to keep control of women’s bodies. I was here before Roe and it is hard to see us come full circle AGAIN, to a place we never should have been in the first place. Women’s right to choose is NOT a POLITICAL FOOTBALL!
3. The supreme court has done nothing but add fuel to the fire of election corruption. Dark money is flowing in left and right — but who cares? I suppose both parties are enjoying this, although I would venture to guess that it’s heavier on the GOP side. Citizens United be damned!!!
4. Why aren’t we as a nation facing up to Russia? I understand the nuclear weapons thing, but can’t we do something to stop Putin? NATO was designed exactly for…
