America First???

While the poor freeze, children go hungry and the less well off don’t have proper health care, this issue of guns gets worse and worse. There are thousands more guns than people and most of them are in the hands of thugs like these dudes. Was the 2nd amendment really intended for what it’s been turned into? And what exactly was the connection to slavery?

I jokingly asked my daughter if we could come to their house when the revolution starts. They have guns because her husband is an avid hunter. Are we prepared as a nation to find out what happens if a bloodbath occurs? Because it seems we are headed down that road. We can’t seem to enact any kind of stricture.

This latest debacle with Rittenhouse is a perfect example. He bought an AR 15 illegally and illegally transferred it across state lines, shot and killed two people and then walked. Not even a slap on the wrist. Is it because he cried on the stand? Do you think he would have walked had his skin been dark? I seriously doubt it. I noticed years ago that when we traveled up to Canada I felt safer. I knew they had gun laws. We are now going above and beyond it with open carry and basically little background checks or even psych checks. We have more gun deaths here than in any other 1st world country and even others. As a nation we are obsessed with guns. Why? Because we’re afraid, terrified of having someone take away what we have…
