Here we go again…

From Pollyanna to absolute disbelief in such a short time. My hopes of a democracy overcoming the stresses happening as a result of the Republican party are gone. We are seeing something unprecedented — the collapse of what we’ve always taken for granted. Even with nearly 70% of the country behind Biden’s plans, one man is able to jinx it all. And his name does not begin with T. And he openly says that his purpose is to stop Biden. So we elected a president, wide margin I might add, and the losing party gets to dictate what happens now????

Is our two party system geared to keep everything at a standstill? Because we have both houses (slim, I know) and yet the only thing Biden’s been able to push through is pandemic relief. As far as I know not one Republican voted for it. Is this really what the people want, or will the Republican party manage to rule this country, not only when they are in the minority, but also finagle it at the next election with gerrymandering and suppressing the vote? We can’t seem to get voting rights through. And without that we’re pretty much screwed. The dems are already losing seats because of the census. We have a good 40% saying that Trump is still president and doing crazy recounts across the country. Are ‘we the people’ going to sit here and take this?
