I am SO DONE!

The planet is about to go up in flames, so what is going on in the U.S. after the news from the U.N. that we HAVE to do something about this? We are watching Tik-Tok, arguing about whether children in schools need to wear masks, telling people they aren’t allowed to wear masks, having rally’s in D. C. by the folks who claim that Trump is still president, (nine months later) and NOT allowing the voting rights bill to go through. We are poised on the brink of disaster and yet we quibble about nothing, and won’t work together as a congress or a country to come up with any solutions at all. We have ONE man and his cabinet and most of the dems who are attempting to do what is necessary to keep our people from dying from Covid, homelessness, lack of health care, and poverty after a pandemic has raged through our country and still is.

I think about Gore and his warnings and wonder if climate change would have been at least partially ameliorated had the supreme court not intervened and decided that Bush would be our next president. And look how well that went? Many wars later and the middle east is so screwed up there is no coming back. Would we have had Covid had Gore been our president? I doubt it. The trajectory after that terrible decision has sent us reeling into another reality, one that is dark and violent and seemingly without end. One that equates education with elitism, and admires coarseness and stupidity.
