I think what we are seeing is distractions— ways to not look at the horrific mess we are in. From climate change to homelessness to pay checks that don’t come close to the rising cost of living— and the pandemic that has unleashed a multitude of crazy thinking and utter terror— we are living in chaos with no end in sight—it is easier to pretend things are ok than face reality— I have noticed it in myself- watching shows that are feel-good and predictable— we all have ptsd
