Light at the end of the Tunnel?

Republicans are beginning to realize that banning abortion needs a bit more nuanced thought. After the ten-year-old child who had to travel to another state after being raped, they’ve had a come to Jesus moment. The trouble is that most Republicans don’t know how to be nuanced— they are supposed to be in lockstep, which they usually are, and they think in black and white. They have larger fear centers in their brains. It’s why everyone is screaming about the democratic party, saying that they aren’t strong like the Republicans and why don’t they stand together and fight? Why doesn’t Biden kick ass and take names like Trump did? Why is he cautious and taking a moment to think things through? The answer is — he’s not a Republican. And we didn’t elect him to be one.

The democratic party isn’t really a party — at least not like the GOP. It’s filled with people who agree on certain things like freedom, the environment, caring for the less fortunate, health care, and civil rights, among many others, but disagree on the way to implement them. I consider myself a progressive, but the progressives very rarely get what they want — take the Green New Deal. Does anyone think that will happen anytime soon?

A month ago the midterms seemed a done deal for the Republicans. Now it’s beginning to seem that Dems might have a chance. First and foremost, Republicans want to win. And…
