Nature and the access to our power

I am a writer and an author. My books are mostly fantasy with an emphasis on the divine feminine and themes that deal with the current problems in our society. It’s easier to address these issues within fiction, I believe. It’s not didactic and it’s woven into the story which is usually about good and evil, or let’s say, not so good and nastiness. I’ve been ranting on Medium about politics and feeling more and more defeated and depressed. After a walk in the woods I have a different outlook. I highly recommend nature as a way to get oneself out of these dark moods that occur.

So, I decided to write about other things — my books, meditation, being one with nature. I had a weird dream last night — I was on my motorcycle (I don’t have a motorcycle nor do I want one) and three punks approached me. I knew they were planning to steal my bike and possibly hurt me. I looked up at them, took a deep breath and said, “If you don’t leave me alone I’m going to kick your ass.” They walked away. In the dream I had accessed power that I didn’t know I had. I was as surprised as they were. It was something in my tone that had come from a deep place — dantien, perhaps. *dantien: ‘Dantian, or dan tian, translates from Chinese to mean “field of elixir.” It describes what’s believed by some to be the seat of life force energy in the body.’
