Negotiating with Terrorists

Biden is not the one democrats want for 2024. This debt ceiling debacle cements it. We need a person who has the courage of his convictions. Not only is Biden too old, he is also turning back the clock on all the tiny gains we’ve made for the planet and for people. First it was Willow project — drilling for oil in Alaska when we are trying to get off oil, or so it’s been spouted, then it was the oil leases in the Gulf of Mexico, another step backward. And now it’s this give-away to Republicans. Don’t know all the details yet, but according to the minority house leader there is nothing in it for Democrats.

Don’t listen when they say he did it because we were about to run out of money. It’s all bullshit designed to put the fear of god into everyone. There is no way either party would have let that happen. He negotiated when he could have tried something a bit more brave — invoking the 14th amendment: The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.

Why didn’t he? That’s the question isn’t it? I say because he wanted to raise campaign money off of terrified people who were afraid for their benefits, their jobs and what they need to manage to live in this country. And don’t listen when he tells you he did it to…
