The Great Awakening (or not)

We are in a Pluto return that we have not seen since 1776. Interesting, isn’t it? Pluto symbolizes the land and the environment. And it is known for bringing what is hidden to the surface. Can we stand to look at more of this? Whether you believe in Astrology or not, you can’t deny the chaos and craziness, the indiscriminate killing of animals — wolves mostly — the predators that men seem to fear as though their mere existence cannot be tolerated. There are many books out there about how important predators are to the circle of life. We are poised on the edge of a precipice, an unprecedented upheaval regarding where our values lie. Do we agree with the ones who destroy or do we stand with those who want to preserve what little we have left for future generations?

I am horrified every day. By the hate that runs rampant through our country, by the stupidity that seems to have taken over our institutions and the minds of our supposed leaders. I am old enough to have seen better days. Those who are younger might not have the same anger and dismay as I do. And the divisiveness runs through every part of our government, and our country, affecting the future. As I read somewhere, ‘how can we have a country that works if we can’t even agree on what is truth?’ And I am becoming convinced that the entire purpose of our leaders in congress is to make it impossible to move forward.
