Trump is still in power despite the election--and this is evidenced by the fact that he will not be convicted in the senate. The ones who were his supporters in sedition are still in the senate and the house and it doesn't seem likely that anything will happen to them. This is not a democracy. Biden can try to turn this around but he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell if over 100 congressmen and most of the senate are taking their marching orders from a man who was just ousted. Unless his crimes catch up with him in the outside world he will continue to run the party. We already had one impeachment that the GOP lied about and deflected. Now we will have another. I had hoped to take a breather from politics but it is not to be. And as a citizen I am shocked, disgusted and appalled by all of it.

In my real life I’m a fantasy/mystery author. What I’ve written so far on Medium have been political opinion pieces. But that is changing!
