Tyranny sneaks, it prevaricates. It is elusive and secretive. Until it isn’t. We are close to the ‘until it isn’t’ point in this country. If we have one governor who is fascist it is beginning, and could signal the end of democracy. Ron De Santis is that governor. And as far our press calling him out? Not strong enough! Our press have been pandering for years now, beginning with Trump’s run for president in 2016. (and way earlier) They have normalized crazy and are still doing so — they are bought, just like everything else in this country. Money is king.

Take the situation in Texas. Women are fighting back against the horrific abortion laws there. They’ve hired lawyers. Did it come up on my news apps? No. Women are not in the limelight, because again — we’ve normalized the end of Roe. Once things get normalized it’s business as usual — just go along and everything will be alright, despite women dying and having to carry a baby to term that will be dead on arrival. Doctors are terrified. They can’t risk giving health care to women who are desperate and in terrible situations. This is WRONG.

If Ron De Santis becomes the president, this country is done. I don’t think he will, but the fact that we haven’t even been able to codify our voting rights law, says something about what’s going on. Redistricting and less and less access to ballot boxes is happening in way too many states. The things that we’ve…
