Win votes and influence people?

Do the Republicans really think that botching the Covid response, firing doctors and telling states to fudge the numbers of deaths and the number of cases, will get them re-elected? What about sending out money, not to those who need it but to factory farms, corporations and bailing out wall street? Cruise ships? Really? What about getting rid of the part of the stimulus bill that would have truly helped the people, like every other industrialized country on earth? $2000 every month until people can get back to work. Andrew Yang’s plan is looking better and better.

But instead of helping, our government is giving out small payments two times. And now when deaths have gone over 90,000, they‘ve decided that people don’t need anything more, nor do the bankrupt states need anything more. And if you read the fine print on many of these supposed windfalls, think again.

What about health insurance? What if you don’t have any? Insurance hooked to your job? Forget it then. I’ve seen pictures of food bank lines…they are miles long. Luckily I live out in the country away from the fray and have medicare. Many people can’t get unemployment and others can’t get loans or any help aside from their landlords putting off their monthly costs…and then at the end, these small business owners or self employed will have to pay it all back! The entire scenario is set up for the wealthy…
