Women’s Autonomy

The single most important issue to me regarding the Roe decision is autonomy. It is inconceivable to me that women now have no power over their own bodies. If men had anything even remotely like this issue in their lives, do you think they’d put up with it? HELL NO!!!!

Think what you will about abortion. If you think it’s wrong, don’t have one. But it isn’t anyone’s right to have the power to dictate what a woman can or can’t do with her own body. Before slaves were freed, they had to do whatever their masters wanted — if that meant lie down and let your master do what he wanted with your body, then that was it for you. Bearing a baby from an encounter like that was just your lot in life. Well, in 2022 that’s where women are. We are slaves to the men who have decided our fates and to the women who have formed a vigilante group to keep us from our autonomy. We are vessels to be filled.

Women need to get together and fight back. They need lawyers to look into the 11th amendment: Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.Oct 23, 2019

What is being forced to give birth other than servitude?

This entire trajectory that the supreme court is on is insane. And the birth control issue…

In my real life I’m a fantasy/mystery author. What I’ve written so far on Medium have been political opinion pieces. But that is changing!
